But in 2014 I was guided by nothing more than what I was after. And I would eventually track down and purchase a GMT-Master II Batman you can read link my story about that watch here. I write all of this preamble and personal link meditation because I distinctly remember a time in Rolex fandom when it link was basically Hulk vs. Batman when it came to hype models in the broader collection sure the ceramic Daytona too but that was effectively unobtanium from the jump.

So you have to have a link Rolex Daytona no matter what. My recommendation is to grab link a piece of history that is starting to become more collectible and buy a Zenith-powered Daytona. They are just now starting to rise in price above the in-house powered versions. A run of 12 years makes them available but are still on the uncommon side and the link two-tone case continues to be a bargain compared to its stainless steel and all gold counterparts.

Seen from the back of the watch, the Twinverter system begins with the pusher at 9:00 (located at 3:00 in the diagram as it's a rear view). Pressing the pusher makes Lever A rotate counterclockwise around the link central screw; it's returned to its neutral position by the action of the flat spring pressing on the lever's pin (about which, more in a minute). Lever A then draws Lever B to the right, and at its left tip Lever B has a pin which goes through the link movement to the dial link side.

This is the watch you wear every day, the one you continue to dream about when it's next to you on your bedside table, and the one link you take off your wrist just to stare at. This link is more than a watch right now, it's a treasure. You take pictures of it for no reason and you post it on Instagram hoping that countless others will get as much enjoyment out of it as link you do. (Spoiler alert: They won't, just like they don't want to see your vacation photos, either.)
