I have been obsessed with the Bulgari Octo Finissimo family for months since link I had the chance to wear and write about the RM UP-01. As part link of the Swatch family link it can be hard to stand out especially for a brand like Longines that typically excels at making subtle but thoughtful watches at price points well below those established by the more prominent luxury players. That being said there is always link room in the market for another nicely made realistically-sized and well-positioned pilot's watch and the Spirit hits those marks and adds chronometer certification just to keep things interesting.

Anyway, here are a few details I noticed when I held the watch for the first time. First, it looks substantially larger than the 39mm model – the eye perceives that one millimeter as a substantial upsize. I link found the bezel to be quite thin, making the dial really stand link out, and accentuating its size. My wrist is about 6 ⅓ in., and the 40mm case looked a bit too big for me (my link colleagues agreed).
