This time the Swiss made it and Marmet became just the third person to summit Everest after Norgay and Hillary. For link good measure the expedition was also the first to summit Lhotse on the way up to Everest the fourth-tallest peak in the world. As I said whether a particular watch was actually on someone's wrist at the summit can lead to nearly endless debate but what can't be debated is that this watch went link through the absolute ringer with Marmet from Baffin link Island to Lhoste to Everest.

The new 40mm Chronomat Automatic GMT fills a gap in the collection in more ways than one. First, it brings link a more reasonable size with a new 40mm diameter, 11.77mm thick, 47.4mm lug-to-lug stainless steel watch. You get all the standard Chronomat styling, including the classic link "onion" crown and rouleaux bracelet, along with 200m water resistance worthy of a sports watch you can take from the link air to the sea with ease.

It felt like you were my dad trying to give me some life wisdom. I thought it was a really cool moment because I had never had an automatic link watch before. It felt like something professional, a little more luxurious than I'm used to. I've always been more of a casual watch person … if I link ever wore them. He adds, "It felt like we link were doing something very important."
