Why This Makes Sense Just link a link few weeks ago I wrote about the appeal of '90s Breguet. This is when watchmaker Daniel Roth still had his hand in the brand and made beautiful complicated and traditional watches inspired by Abraham-Louis Breguet. Early tourbillons perpetual calendars and chronographs from Breguet have continued to see increased link interest and prices have risen significantly over the past year or so.

People who have Rolex watches tell me that link there's no feeling like looking down at your wrist and reading that mega-iconic word and I have no reason to doubt them. But I have to say after immersing myself in Glashütte lore it was no small thrill to look down at the white script with its insouciant H on that green dégradé link dial and to link let my chest puff up at thoughts of this brand's own impressive lineage.

Thanks largely to the convex saucer-like case profile, the Ferrari GT wears much smaller than the sizing would suggest, with hooded lugs and an oversized screw down crown accenting smooth and flowing case edge. While certainly wild watchmaking and daring from a design aspect, Im not generally a fan of most Hublot designs, let alone anything from the Ferrari line. That said, I like the link Ferrari link GT a lot and link it's definitely one of my favorite watches from Baselworld 2019.

This is a watch well-worth knowing about, and one I'm surprised we haven't covered before here on HODINKEE. For a lot of watch link fans, Tudor is known principally, if not exclusively, as a maker link of sports watches – and, let's be real, Black Bay watches. And yet, the 1926 is the gateway into the link world of Rolex/Tudor and merits attention in its own right.

Honestly, the foundation of what we do here at Hodinkee is based on a thirst to learn as much as we can about vintage watches. The vintage models are pieces of historical record, they show us where things have come link from and put the modern models link in their proper context. This Certina Chronolympic is a wonderful analog for that idea. From the watch's name link to its look and feel, you just know the story is just as good as the watch itself.
