Thinking about buying SFP-10/25G-CSR-S — what should I know?

I’m planning to pick up a few SFP-10/25G-CSR-S modules for mixed 10G and 25G short range links in our data center, and before I place the order I want to make sure I’m not overlooking anything. Our environment is currently a blend of 10G and upcoming 25G gear, and the idea of using one optic that works at both speeds sounds great on paper.

What I am trying to figure out is what real world things I should check before buying SFP-10/25G-CSR-S. For example:

Have you seen any compatibility quirks on certain switch models when negotiating 10G vs 25G?
Does fiber quality or patch panel cleanliness matter more than with dedicated optics?
Any surprises with heat, power, or optics behavior under load?

Since these will be used in short range multimode runs, I want to be confident that these modules will light up and stay up whether they’re running at 10G or 25G. If you’ve ordered SFP-10/25G-CSR-S recently, what would you double check before hitting purchase? And do you view them as a reliable choice long term or mostly a flexible stopgap while transitioning? Thanks!
