Preparing for a prop firm

fapeiyeunesou
I’ve been thinking about taking a prop firm challenge this year. I’ve been practicing for a while now, and my results are okay, but I still feel like I’m not fully ready to deal with the challenge conditions — like strict drawdown limits and hitting profit targets under pressure. I don’t want to just “try and see” — I want to actually go in prepared. Are there any tools or methods that helped you guys simulate that kind of environment? Something more than just a demo account?

Yeah, I’ve taken a few of those challenges and learned a lot from both passing and failing them. What helped me the most was practicing with tools that simulate real conditions — not just normal demo trading. There’s a solid breakdown over on https://forextester.com/en/pass-prop-firm-challenge/ that lists tools and strategies specifically for challenge prep. I used one of the simulators mentioned there, and it helped me track risk and trade like I was already under those strict rules. Practicing with structure made a huge difference when it came to controlling emotions during the actual challenge.

Just saw this thread while browsing — interesting to see how many people are going the prop firm route now. I’ve never done one myself, but I’ve heard it’s a great way to get capital if you’ve got the discipline. Cool to see people sharing resources and actual prep tips instead of just talking about profits.

As remarkably thin as it is limited the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater is just 6.85mm thick despite housing a beautiful and very link advanced hand-wound minute repeater-equipped movement. If you missed part one start here and then hit the link below for some chime-heavy nerdery. “When I stopped my dissertation one of the first things I started teaching myself about was link furniture. We were playing a gig link in Brazil and a friend of mine took me around vintage furniture stores in Brazil and introduced me to Brazilian design and architecture. And I knew a little bit, but I didn’t know link much and that’s when I really started nerding out. It became a passion and a thing I collect. And this sofa became a sort of holy grail for me.”
