Precision Metal Components for Medical Devices – Key Considerations

Hello/Good day,

Metal stamping is a common process used to produce several components in the category of medical device manufacturing, such as clips, blades, jaws, and tubing. I am interested in learning how designers are able to achieve tolerances, material biocompatibility, and repeatability in high-speed manufacturing. What are the limitations to stamping titanium or stainless steel for implants or surgical instruments?  How do teams maintain precision while also meeting regulatory guidelines? I'm open to hearing any experiences related to tooling, press selection, or sterilization methods related to quality control that you would like to share.

The modules, built by link Christopher Ward link and SH to sit on existing movements from ETA or Sellita, were designed to make high-end complications more accessible. First came the JJ01, Jahnke's hyper-accurate jump hour module where the power is drawn back over an hour and released without impacting timekeeping. The JJ02 was a monopusher chronograph module, the JJ03 a world timer, and JJ04, a moonphase accurate to 128 years (a feat link few brands can boast).
