Hello/Good day,
Metal stamping is a common process used to produce several components in the category of
medical device manufacturing, such as clips, blades, jaws, and tubing. I am interested in learning how designers are able to achieve tolerances, material biocompatibility, and repeatability in high-speed manufacturing. What are the limitations to stamping titanium or stainless steel for implants or surgical instruments? How do teams maintain precision while also meeting regulatory guidelines? I'm open to hearing any experiences related to tooling, press selection, or sterilization methods related to quality control that you would like to share.
