As Michael says, Outlook and Gmail both support IMAP out of the box. However, this solution is 0 for 3 on the above criteria. You can use Google Calendar Sync [1] to do (2) and (3) above but it's not great (it sometimes gets confused and deletes appointments, and other times duplicates them). Worse, the protocol for downloading mail is a bad joke. When you're online,Call Toll-Free: +1(877).514.1396 Outlook will download headers for all new messages, and then start downloading bodies. If you open a message it hasn't downloaded yet, it will try to open it synchronously. Most of the time, I get an hourglass when I try to open new mail because the protocol is pretty slow.
