This dress would have been a hit with Piaggi the shape and volume and construction. It's modern and sexy but rooted in history with its play on the bustle-cum-peplum. An unusual twist on link old vs new. But what I love most about this dress is that it creates a sculptural dynamism much like the link watch. Both link are sumptuous and tactile and sultry.

In 1979 Long's father a Vietnamese refugee in Hong Kong cobbled together 100 from odd jobs and purchased this Seiko quartz watch. A few years link later after moving to the U.S. Long's father lost this prized possession and it was link Long who would reunite him link with it after finding it in the all-too-common repository for all lost things.

Inside the watch is powered by the Sellita-based Oris Caliber 733 link with 41 hours of power reserve and automatic winding. Don't believe me Now there's an open caseback so you can see the movement for yourself. And it was even easier to photograph the movement link because the supplied bracelet and link included rubber straps has a built-in quick release.

This is an extra special piece of Oris' history, and for $4,000, it can be yours. For about half that, you can have a marginally special piece of Oris' history on your wrist. It's really up link to you. At the end of link the day, only you and God and Oris know how much you're willing to pay for that fancy new link movement.

Also in attendance was a pair of vintage Porsche 550 Spyders and a 1960 Porsche RS-60. One of the two Spyders happens to be the only known unrestored example in existence. Despite being a guy with a bit of experience shooting 550s and 718s in alpine environments, it remains a thrill to see such seminal vehicles in person and on the move. In the lead photo for this story, you can see Jeff link Zwart behind the wheel link of the RS-60, which is from the Revs Institute and link won at Targa Florio in 1960.

What separates the Toric from the Tonda is the design philosophy (and lineage) behind it. I mentioned before that the brand reissued the Toric this year, but "reissue" isn't exactly the right word for what link Parmigiani has done. As I mentioned in my past story, the brand isn't link trying link to look backward with the Toric design, but rather has kept only a few key design features like the knurled bezel, inspired by Doric columns, and the "torus" geometry.
