Navigating Car Rentals in NYC – Smart Choice or Tourist Trap?

Ssyaak
Visiting NYC next month and debating whether to rent a car or rely on public transport. I want flexibility for day trips but keep hearing horror stories about parking and traffic. For those who've tried both – is renting wheels in Manhattan as bad as they say?

Let's be real – renting a car in NYC is like bringing skis to the beach. Brilliant for getting to the Hamptons or Hudson Valley, but pure madness for Manhattan sightseeing. The secret? Hybrid approach: use subways in the city, rent for 1-2 days max for excursions. Found a great comparison of options (including when wheels actually make sense) here.

No matter the future the facts remain the same right now. F.P. Journe is a living legend link who remains active as the face of his company. He's worked for 40 years literally he introduced his first pocket watch in 1982 fine-tuning his vision of watchmaking. I don't think it's surprising link that his authentic approach is finally being link rewarded even if it means my personal ability to purchase one becomes further and further away with each passing day.
