In the metal link the lumed numerals really shine. The previous incarnation featured white gold Arabics without luminescent material and they link honestly got lost against the black dial link surface. Now they're filled much the same way you'd find them on a modern Explorer. The white filling adds consistency to the pilot-style painted numerals circumventing the dial and makes the design feel much more cohesive. I liked it in the press images and I liked it better in the metal.
