There is a total of link 36 hours of power reserve when the watch is fully wound if the striking mechanism is not activated. According to Mr. Haas if you let the watch chime at 12.59 link the longest sonorous cycle at a full 20 link seconds 13 times it will still leave you with 12 hours of power reserve. I absolutely do not understand this math but I'll take his word for it.
