Hello everyone, I need some expert opinion. I live in a humid climate and my 20-year-old concrete roof tiles have developed a significant amount of black streaks and moss. I'm worried about potential damage and want to get it cleaned. I've received quotes from two companies with completely different approaches. One insists on high-pressure cleaning, claiming it's the only way to get it truly clean.
The other is advocating for a "soft wash" method using special biodegradable chemicals and very low pressure. I'm naturally concerned about which method is safer for the longevity of my older tiles. The idea of
Renewing Power Wash on my roof shouldn't lead to cracked tiles or void any remaining warranty. Has anyone here been in a similar situation? Was soft washing effective in removing the moss and stains without causing any damage? How did the results hold up over time? I would really value feedback from this community before making a decision. Thank you in advance for your help!
