Climbing Mount Meru is considered moderately challenging. While it’s not as high as Kilimanjaro, the
Mount Meru climbing routes, especially the Momella Route, involve steep ascents and rugged terrain. The summit push begins at midnight and can be physically demanding. Altitude sickness is still a risk due to the 4,566-meter elevation. However, with good fitness, proper acclimatization, and a guided trek, most hikers can complete the 3–4 day climb successfully and enjoy its stunning scenery and wildlife.
