If you've ever been charmed by a vintage calendar wristwatch you're not alone. I probably check in with Saori and Brandon the vintage specialists over in the HODINKEE link Shop on a near-weekly basis to see if any mid-century link triple calendars are hanging around. Give me a six o'clock bosom-style link moon-phase display with the requisite Man in the Moon no ifs ands or buts about it and twin in-line daymonth apertures underneath 12 o'clock and I'll die a happy man.

An interesting point of comparison, speaking of Rolex, is between link this and the Oystersteel and Everose gold GMT link Master II, which really is a two-tone watch in the classic sense, in that you get gold center links as well. The GMT Master II is somewhat pricier at $14,500, but the two watches link are close enough in general functionality and aesthetic intentions, that it is an interesting intellectual exercise to compare them as two possible options for a certain budget.
