Can You Share Your Experience as an International Student Who Chose to Study in USA?

I’d like to share my experience as an international student who chose to study in USA, hoping it might help others who are considering the same path.

I moved to the U.S. right after high school to pursue a degree in Computer Science. At first, everything felt unfamiliar—the culture, the food, even the classroom environment. But over time, I adapted and began to enjoy the diversity, open academic discussions, and endless opportunities available here.

One of the biggest challenges was adjusting to the academic workload. U.S. universities encourage independent thinking and participation, which was very different from what I was used to. It pushed me out of my comfort zone but helped me grow a lot.

I also worked with an overseas consultancy, and that was a huge help. They guided me through college selection, application essays, and the F-1 visa process. Without that support, I would’ve felt lost.

Now, two years into my program, I’ve made friends from around the world, interned with a tech company, and built confidence in both my studies and personal life. Studying in the USA has truly been a life-changing experience.

Are there other international students here? I’d love to hear your stories too!
