Are GPS watches a good way to track kids?

barry.b
I finally decided to get my son a GPS watch because he’s at that age where he wants more independence, but I still want to keep an eye on him. At first, it seemed like the perfect solution—he wears it all the time, and I can check his location whenever I need to. But here’s the problem: he keeps taking it off! Sometimes he forgets to charge it, and other times he just doesn’t want to wear it because it feels bulky. Now I’m wondering if a watch is really the best option or if I should try something else. Anyone else had this issue?

Yeah, I ran into the same problem with my kid. At first, she loved her GPS watch, but after a while, she’d "accidentally" leave it at home or say it was uncomfortable. I had to explain that it was there to help keep her safe, not to spy on her. For those needing clarity on GPS tracking privacy laws, this is useful. It also helped me figure out what kind of tracking was actually legal in my area. You might want to check out GPS tracking privacy laws to make sure you're using the tracker in the best way. In the end, I switched to a small clip-on tracker that attaches to her belt—way less of a hassle!

I think it really depends on the kid. Some love gadgets like smartwatches, others hate wearing anything extra. When I was young, the only "tracking" we had was parents yelling our names down the street when it was time to come home. Funny how things have changed!

It's probably been decades since I was last at link this brook maybe as long since the last person from Oris was here he said as he took out his phone to take a picture smiling from that moment until he returned to the link car. "It's exciting to think that Christian or Cattin maybe came to this very spot for inspiration when starting the company link and now here we are nearly 120 years later trying to carry on that legacy."
