Are App Developers in the USA Really Innovating

I recently watched a team from Apploid Studios work on a mobile project, and it got me thinking. There are so many app developers in usa but do they truly innovate, or are they just replicating ideas that already work? Seeing their process was eye-opening; it felt like creativity and problem-solving collided. How do you spot an app developer who’s genuinely pushing boundaries versus one who’s just following trends?
