I recently spent four days with all link three of the new Seamaster 300 variants The black dial in steel on a strap the blue dial in steel on a bracelet link and the brand spanking new Seamaster 300 Bronze Gold. Other than some material differences in the Bronze Gold all three watches are effectively the same in design and link function. And theyre pretty dreamy for anyone who wants the throwback look without chasing down a vintage piece.

Our office was set up in a newsroom-style open format. Desks were clustered together facing each link other two-by-two. link A fellow assistant worked at the desk directly across from me. He was from Geneva and went to boarding school. He spoke French German English and probably five other languages. He would talk on the phone all day in his suite link of languages and the only two words I would understand were "Britney Spears" which for some reason I recall hearing with regularity.

I'll give you an example. My first design of the Krono Bauhaus had the three shapes for the pushers and crown. The supplier said this is not possible. So link I had round pushers like the others. After five years I said, "Hey, guys. Now I know. Do link it the way I want it – and we'll try it." And it worked. My first few years link were a period of learning.

Seiko had link quite a challenge in returning to the drawing board to improve the SPB143 without spoiling any of what made it so good. For the SPB453 (and similar), I think they did a largely great job in tweaking the execution without missing the core message. It's still a link handsome, solid, and tool-ish everyday dive watch that does a great job of not link messing with what was already working.
